ليوزيلارد بالإنگليزية: Leo Szilard (و.1898 - 1964م). فيزيائي أمريكي من الرواد الذين عملوا على تطوير الطاقة النووية، حيث استطاع بالتعاون مع إنريكوفرمي التوصل إلى طريقة لترتيب جميع من الكربون، واليورانيوم للحصول في النهاية على مفاعل نووي ذاتي، وتم ذلك في عام 1942م.
وفي يوليوعام 1939 زار جميع من زيلارد ويوجين ڤاگنر العالم ألبرت أينشتاين، الذي قام بدوره بالكتابة إلى رئيس الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية فرانكلين روزڤلت، داعيًا الحكومة إلى دعم برامج الطاقة النووية، الأمر الذي أدى بعد ذلك إلى تطوير القنبلة النووية.
وُلد زيلارد في بوداپست بالمجر، وأصبح مواطنًا أمريكيًا باكتسابه الجنسية في عام 1943، وشارك ڤاگنر في الحصول على جائزة استخدام الذرّة في الأغراض السلمية في عام 1959م.
