أمينة غريب فقيم (و. 17 أكتوبر 1959)، هي عالم تنوع حيوي موريشيوسية. وهي مدير مركز سي آي دي پي للبحث والابتكار. في 2015، لفتت الانتباه العام بعد ترشحها لرئاسة موريشيوش، ومن المتسقط حتى يتم تنصيبها كسادس رئيس للبلاد فيخمسة يونيو2015. ستكون فقيم أول امرأة رئاسة موريشيوس.

حياتها

النشأة

ولدت أمينة فقيم في 17 أكتوبر 1959، في قرية سورينام في جزيرة موريشيوس، للأبوين Hassenjee Gurib and Firdaus Durgauhee. She grew up in Plaine Magnien and completed her studies at the primary school in Saint-Patrice. She then moved to Mahébourg Loreto Convent, finishing her Higher School Certificate at Loreto convent Quatre Bornes before flying to England for her undergraduate degree in chemistry. She graduated from the جامعة سري in 1983 with a BSc degree in chemistry. بعد حصولها على درجة الدكتوراه في الكيمياء العضوية من جامعة إكستر, she returned home in 1987 to take employment at the جامعة موريشيوس.

بعد تخرجها عملت كعضومنتدب في المركز الدولي سي آي دي پ للبحث والابتكار، وقامت بتأليف الكثير من الخط والأبحاث الخاصة بعلوم الأحياء، وحصلت على الكثير من الجوائز والأوسمة منها جوائز لوريال-اليونسكوللمرأة في العلوم عن أفريقيا عام 2007، كما حصلت على جائزة الاتحاد الإفريقي للمرأة في مجال العلوم في 2009.

وأعدت فقيم أول قائمة حصر بالنباتات العطرية والطبية في موريشيوس وجزيرة رودريگز المجاورة، وأتاح هذا التحليل الفهمي فهم الخصائص المضادة للأمراض الجرثومية والفطرية وداء السكري، والمتوفرة في عدد من النباتات، للبدء باستخدام هذه الأخيرة كمواد بديلة وفعالة للأدوية التجارية.

العمل الأكاديمي

تعمل فقيم حالياً في منصب المدير التطبيقي لمركز أبحاث العلاج بالنباتات (CEPHYR)، بالإضافة إلى عملها كأستاذة محاضرة في مادة الكيمياء العضوية ونائبة رئيس جامعة موريشوس.

انتخبت فقيم رئيسة المجلس الدولي للاتحاد الفهمي - المخط الإقليمي لإفريقيا للفترة "2011-2014"، وعملت أيضا في مجلس البحوث موريشيوس كمدير للبحوث "1995-1997".

كما شغلت أمينة فقيم منصب قائد لأول مشروع بحثي إقليمي على "فأر"، ودراسة للنباتات الطبية والعطرية من المحيط الهندي، بتمويل من الصندوق الأوروبي للتنمية تحت رعاية لجنة المحيط الهندي بين عامي "1987 - 1992".

وشاركت في عدة اجتماعات استشارية بشأن القضايا البيئية التي ينظمها البنك الدولي، وشغلت منصب عضومؤسس في رابطة عموم إفريقيا للنباتات الطبية الإفريقية، وشاركت في تأليف الأولى على الإطلاق الأدوية العشبية الإفريقي التي تمولها (CDE وProInvest (ACP في بروكسل.

أشارت أمينة غريب فقيم، إلى حتى المرأة تتعرض بشكل عام للاضطهاد في الكثير من دول العالم، وتم حظرها من العمل في مجال العلوم والبحوث على عكس الكثير من الرجال، إذ كان الفهم بمثابة حقلا يسيطر عليه الرجال، مشروحة أنه مع مرور الوقت تغير الحال وبدأت المرأة تتفوق على الرجل في الكثير من المجالات وتغيرت الأحوال بطرق إيجابية.
