الكلاشنكوف أوAK-47 (أفتومات كالاشنيكوفا 1947، بالروسية: Автомат Калашникова образца 1947 года) هوسلاح هجومي رشاش صممه الروسي ميخائيل كلاشنكوف أثناء إقامته في المستشفى خلال الحرب العالمية الثانية سنة 1941 حيث قام بدراسة عدة تصاميم أسلحة وانتهى إلى وضع تصميم لبندقية آلية مشتقة من بندقية استخدمها الألمان في الحرب واسمها (MP44-STG)، وجربت بندقية كلاشنكوف لأول مرة من قبل الجيش الروسي في عام 1947, وفي عام 1950 ابتكر بكميات كبيرة في مصنع IZH ليدخل السلاح في عام 1955 للخدمة في الجيش الروسي كسلاح فردي رئيسي، وقد قامت عدد من الدول خاصة ماكان يسمى بدول المعكسر الشرقي بصناعة بندقية كلاشنكوف, ومن هذه الدول: الصين, كوريا الشمالية, بلغاريا, ألمانيا الشرقية, رومانيا, بولندا, يوغسلافيا, العراق, مصر.سوريا,

وتستخدم بندقية كلاشنكوف في أكثر من 40 جيشاً حول العالم, وتعتبر هذه البندقية المفضلة لدى الحركات الثورية والتحررية لسهولة استخدامها وفاعليتها الكبيرة أثناء القتال وقلة أعطابها.

الاختلافات بين (AKM) و(AK-47):
1- (AKM) مصنوعة من صفائح فولاذية مركبة معاً لتكّون جسم البندقية, بينما (AK-47) مصنوعة من بترة معدنية واحدة.
2- المدى: (AKM): 1000 متر, (AK-47): 800 متر.
3- الطول: (AKM): 876 ملم, (AK-47): 869 ملم.
4- الوزن: (AKM): 3.15 كلجم فارغة, (AK-47): 4.3 كلجم.
5- يوجد في مقدمة سبطانة (AKM) معدل الارتداد كابح الفوهة, وهوبترة معدنية صغيرة مركبة على فوهة السبطانة وتعمل على التخفيف من رد عمل الغاز الذي يندفع عائداً إلى السبطانة وبالتالي ترتفع السبطانة إلى أعلى.
6- المقبض الخشبي في (AKM)مصمم أفضل من ماهوعليه في (AK-47).
7- المدخلين الظاهرين فوق مكان تثبيت المخزن وذلك لمنعه من الاهتزاز يبدوان أصغر في (AKM) مم هوعليه في (AK-47).
8- استطوانة الغاز في (AKM) منعدمة الفتحات, بينما في (AK-47) توجد أربعة فتحات عن اليمين ومثلها عن الشمال.
9- في (AKM) يظهر غطاء البدن ببروزات ظاهرة وكبيرة, أما غطاء (AK-47) فهوأملس.
كما يوجد نوعين من (AKM) والفرق حتى الحديث مصنوع من فولاذ أخف من الأول.
