إمانوِل سويدنبورگ (Emanuel Swedenborg ؛ //؛النطق السويدي ()؛ وُلِد بإسم Emanuel Swedberg في 29 يناير 1688؛ وتوفي 29 مارس 1772) كان عالماً وفيلسوفاً ولاهوتياً سويدياً، ومتلقي للوحي وصوفي. ومؤسس كنيسة القدس الجديدة New Jerusalem الموحدة الناشطة في بريطانيا والولايات المتحدة. وأهم ما يشتهر به هوكتابه عن الحياة الآخرة، الجنة والنار (1758).

سيرته

النشأة

ولد في ستوكهولم لأب كان عنصراً بارزاً في الحياة الدينية والثقافية، إذ كان أسقفاً وأستاذاً في اللاهوت في جامعة اوپسالا، وعند منح العائلة مرتبة النبالة في عام 1719 اتخذت اسم سويدنبورگ Swedenborg. تفهم في جامعة أبسالا وتخرج فيها عام 1709 وحصل على درجة الدكتوراه في الفلسفة، إلا حتى اهتمامه الأول انصب على العلوم الطبيعية. بدأ بعد ذلك التجوال والبحث في بلدان أوربا وأمضى خمس سنوات في فرنسا وهولندا وإنكلترا. ولدى عودته إلى بلاده صار مساعداً للعالم كريستوفر پولهم K.Polhem ومشرفاً على المجلس الملكي للمناجم، وأصدر صحيفة فهمية باسم «ديدالوس هيپربوريوس» Daedalus Hyperboreus. ومع هذه النشاطات عثر الوقت الكافي لكتابة بعض الأشعار باللغة اللاتينية التي خط بها أغلب مؤلفاته، ونشرت خلال حياته.

الفترة الفهمية

سعى سويدنبورگ إلى تطوير نفسه بالقراءة الكثيرة والسفر، ولم ينشر خلال عشر سنوات سوى مؤلفين في الفلسفة والكيمياء. ثم نشر في لايبزيغ «أعمال فلسفية ومنطقية» (1734) Opera philosophica et mineralia في ثلاثة مجلدات كان أولها «أسس الأمور الطبيعية» Principia rerum naturalium الذي ضم فلسفته حول الطبيعة متأثراً إلى حد كبير بأفكار ديكارت حول هجريب المواد وحركتها، وعن كون الأرض والمجموعة الشمسية انفصلت عن الشمس ذاتها. وهذا المبدأ هوالنادىمة الرئيسية في نظرية سويدنبورغ حول نشوء الشمس والكواكب السيارة القائلة بأن هذه كلها نشأت من غيمة سديمية nebula واحدة، وهي سابقة لنظرية كَنْت ولابلاس حول الغيوم السديمية، ولنظرية الانفجار العظيم Big Bang حول نشوء الكون.

كان كتاب سويدنبورگ «اقتصاد المملكة الروحية» Oeconomica regni animalis الذي أكمله ونشره في امستردام بين عامي 1740 و1741 مفصلاً مهماً في حياته. و«المملكة الروحية» في فكر سويدنبورغ هي الجسم البشري ومسكن الروح anima. وكان قد تفهم النفس الإنسانية والجسم، وخصوصاً الدم والدماغ، وكان هدفه في ذلك إثبات خلود الروح. وخلص إلى حتى الروح هي في حيوية الدم وبأن مكانها هوالدماغ cellular cortex، وبحث في ما يحصل لهذه الروح عند موت الجسد وانتنطقها إلى عالم آخر. نشر بعد ذلك «المملكة الروحية» (1744ـ1745) Regnum animale في ثلاثة مجلدات ضمت أبحاثه النفسية ومحاولاته إيجاد لغة عالمية اعتماداً على نماذج ديكارت ولايبنيتس، إلا أنه وضع بديلاً لها في مبدأ التراسل correspondence تراسل الحواس الذي قدمه في كتاب «مفتاح هيروغليفي» Clavis hieroglyphica الذي نشر بعد وفاته في عام 1784، ويرى فيه حتى هذا التراسل قائم بين العالمين المادي والروحي إذ حتى لكل شيء موجود في الطبيعة ما يسببه ويقابله في العالم الروحي.

التعليق والكتابة عن النصوص المقدسة

خط سويدنبورگ «كتاب الأحلام» (1743ـ1744) Drömboken، وهومؤلفه الوحيد باللغة السويدية، بدأه على شكل يوميات في مداخل عن أحداث عادية في حياته اليومية، لينتقل فجأة إلى سلسلة من الأحلام والرؤى والحالات الروحية التي مر بها صدمت القراء عند نشرها لما احتوته من تفسيرات على صعيد حياة المحرر الشخصية وعلى الصعيد العام. وتطور ذلك إلى رؤى تتعلق بالسيد المسيح والله. وكان قد بدأ في الوقت نفسه كتابه «حول عبادة وحب الله» (1745) De cultu et amore Dei وهي دراما حول الخليقة إلا أنها بقيت غير مكتملة. ثم خط دراسته الدينية المطولة في ثمانية مجلدات «ألغاز سماوية» (1749ـ1756) Arcana coelestia ونشرت في لندن، شرح فيها سفري «التكوين» و«الخروج»، و«حول الجنة والجحيم» (1758) De coelo et de inferno عن تجربته الدينية، كما خط «حول الحب الزوجي» (1768) De amore conjugiali وهومؤلفه الأشهر الذي هجر أثراً لدى كتّاب كبار مثل بلزاك وشعراء مثل بودلير.

وضع سويدنبورگ في كتابه الكبير الأخير «الديانة المسيحية الحقة» Vera Christiana Religio الذي نشره في امستردام عام 1771 في ثمانية مجلدات تصوراً كاملاً لفكره الديني الناتج عن دراية ودراسة طويلة. فقد درس في الماهيات وعاد إلى بدايات الكنيسة الأولى وإلى ما قبل الجدل الديني، من المجمع المسكوني في نيقية Nicaea حتى «الانشقاق الكبير» في الكنيسة عام 1054، حين أضيفت إلى عقيدة الإيمان النيقية، القائلة بانبثاق الروح القدس من الأب، حدثة «والابن» et filioque، منهية بذلك ألف عام من التوحيد، فرفض المبدأ القائل بألوهية السيد المسيح والثالوث. ورأى سويدنبورگ أيضاً استحالة الوصول إلى الهدف المقصود من وراء الخليقة إلا بواسطة الإنسان؛ لكن هذا الإنسان انحرف عن الطريق القويم وأساء استخدام الإرادة الحرة التي منحه إياها الخالق، ومن ذلك نبع الشر.

كان سويدنبورگ موسوعياً في اهتماماته الفهمية والدينية والأدبية. فقد نهل من الخط الدينية المقدسة، ومن أدب عصر النهضة وفكره، إذ كان على اطلاع على الشعر الميتافيزيقي الإنكليزي، وعلى الفكر الصوفي حين درس في وحدة الوجود وتمثُّل الخالق في الكون وتكامل العالمين المادي والروحي، كما نهل أيضاً من أفكار عصر التنوير حين نادى بحرية الإنسان ومسؤوليته، ورأى بأن الجنة والجحيم ليستا مكاناً جغرافياً حسياً بل حالتان نفسيتان.

لم يقتصر تأثير سويدنبورگ في المقربين إليه فقط، فقد نشأت بعد وفاته مباشرة منظمات كنسية عديدة اعتماداً على فكره، كما أثر في أدباء وفلاسفة بارزين أمثال بليك وإمرسون وثورووسترندبرگ وسانتيانا. إلا حتى أفكاره لم تلق ذلك الترحيب الحار في بلاده إذ حكمت عليه الكنيسة السويدية بالحرمان عام 1769 بذريعة الهرطقة. توفي في لندن ودفن هناك إلى حتى أعيدت رفاته إلى وطنه بناء على طلب الحكومة السويدية عام 1908 لتدفن من حديث في كاتدرائية أوپسالا.
