تعتبر قوات الحرس الجمهوري العراقيه من صفوه القوات العامله في الجيش العراقي حيث تتالف من ثلاث قوات وهي قوات بغداد وقوات المدينه المنوره وقوات عدنان وشاركت هذه القوات بفعاليه كبيره في الحرب العراقيه الايرانيه وكان لها الفضل في تحرير الاراضي العراقيه التي احتلتها ايران وكذلك صد هجمات الجيش الايراني كما شاركت هذه القوات في حرب الخليج الثانيه ضد قوات التحالف الامريكي البريطاني واشتبكت معها في معركه حسمت تقدم قوات التحالف إلى عمق الاراضي العراقيه وسميت المعركه حسب وصف قاده الالويه المدرعه الامريكيه والبريطانيه بكيس الموت وتعتبر من اكبر معارك الدبابات في العصر الحديث حيث اعتمد العراقييون على هذه القوات في عمليات التمويه والتضليل ومن ثم الالتحام المباشر وتحييد عنصر التفوق لقوات التحالف وهوالطيران الحربي حيث ما زالت خسائر التحالف من خفايا تلك الحرب.

Iraqi Police
The Iraqi Police are the organic civil police force of the Republic of Iraq. There are three main branches.
