الأنابيب النانوية الكربونية هي شكل متآصل من الكربون لها بنية نانوية طولانية بحيث حتى نسبة الطول إلى نصف القطر تفوق المليون.
لهذه الأنابيب خصائص فريدة ومميزة من حيث القوة والمتانة من جهة ومن حيث الخصائص الكهربائية من جهة أخرى، كما أنها موصلات حرارية فعالة. نتيجة لذلك فإنها تدخل في الكثير من الاستخدامات في مجالات التقانة النانوية والإلكترونيات والبصريات والكثير من فروع فهم المواد، بالإضافة إلى دخولها في مجال التصميم والعمارة.
تنتمي الأنابيب النانوية الكربونية إلى فصيلة الفوليرين من حيث البنية، والتي تتضمن أيضاً كرات الكربون Buckyball، حيث حتى واحداً على الأقل من طرفي الأنبوبقد يكون مغلقاً بنصف كرة من ذلك النمط. للأنابيب النانوية الكربونية هجريب بلوري خاصقد يكون على شكل أنبوب مجوف يتألف من ذرات الكربون متصلة فيما بينها على أشكال خماسية، سداسية و/ أوسباعية. تتم صناعته بدايةً من الكربون أوآزوت البور. الرابطة الكيميائية لهذه الأنابيب هي بالكامل من نمط وذلك بشكل مشابه لبنية الگرافيت.
