استدلال إحصائي

الاستدلال الإحصائي أوالحث الإحصائي (بالإنجليزية: Statistical inference‏) هوعملية رسم الخلاصات من البيانات الخاضعة للتبدل العشوائي، كالأخطاء الاستطلاعية، والتبدلات العينية.

وباختصار أكبر، تستخدم مصطلحات الاستدلال الإحصائي والاستقراء الإحصائي والإحصاء الاستدلالي لوصف نظم الإجراءات التي يمكن استخدامها لرسم خلاصات من مجموعات معطيات تنتجها نظم محكومة بالتبدل العشوائي.

حتى يصل مثل هذا النظام من الإجرائيات إلى استدلال واستقراء لا بد من توافر متطلبات أولية تتمثل في حتى ينتج النظام إجابات منطقية عند تطبيقه على حالات فهم، وأنقد يكون عاماً بما فيه الكفاية كيقد يكون بالإمكان تطبيقه عبر مجموعة من الحالات.

قد يحدث ناتج الاستدلال الإحصائي إجابة على سؤال من مثل: "ما الذي يجب عمله في المستوى التالية؟"، حيث يمكن حتىقد يكون قراراً بإجراء مزيد من التجارب أوالاستطلاعات، أوقراراً برسم خلاصة قبل تطبيق بعض السياسات المؤسسية أوالحكومية.
