دانيال پايپس Daniel Pipes (بوسطنتسعة سبتمبر 1949) مؤلف ومؤرخ أمريكي يهودي وعالم دراسات إسلامية.
السيرة الذاتية
أنهى دراسة التاريخ عام 1971 في جامعة هارڤرد وحصل على الدكتوراه عام 1978، تفهم ست سنوات في الخارج بما في ذلك مصر، بعد ذلك عمل أستاذاً في عدة جامعات في الولايات المتحدة كما عمل مع وزارة الدفاع الأمريكية في فرقة العمل الخاصة المعنية بالإرهاب والتكنولوجيا، دانيال هومؤسس ورئيس منتدى الشرق الأوسط، يخط بشكل منتظم في جروسالم پوست الإسرائيلية ونيويورك صن، كما يخط أحيانًا لـواشنطن بوست ونيويورك تايمز. نشر له 11 كتاباً معظمها ينتقد الإسلام وبخاصة الإسلام السياسي.
وفي عهد جورج بوش الابن، عـُين رئيساً لمعهد السلام الأمريكي.
