الآذر أوالأذربيجانيون Azerbaijanis هي جماعة عرقية متواجدة بشكل عام في شمال غرب إيران وفي جمهورية أذربيجان وأيضاً في المنطقة بين القوقاز وهضبة إيرانالأذربيجانيون لديهم ميراث ثقافي ذوخصوصيات إيرانية، هجرية وقوقازية. الأغلبية الأذربيجانية مسلمة، لكن توجد فئات كثيرة بينهم تنتمي إلى المسيحية والبهائية وعدة ديانات أخرى، وبالرغم من هذا الكثير منهم يعتبرون أنفسهم غير متدينين. يتحدث الأذر يتحدثون باللغة الأذرية وهي لغة تنتمي إلى اللغات الهجرية.

يوجد في العالم تقريباً بين 25.5 و33 مليون أذري، أغلبيتهم تعيش في إيران وأذربيجان ولكن توجد أقليّات أذرية في روسيا وهجريا وجورجيا وفي الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. كانت في أرمينيا أقلية أذرية لكنها فرت من البلاد كنتيجة لصراع قرة باغ مع أذربيجان.
