دافني وكلوى (باليونانية: Δάφνις καὶ Χλόη؛ Daphnis kai Chloē؛ بالإنگليزية: Daphnis and Chloe) هي أشهر قصص الحب جميعها في النثر القديم سيرة دافنيس وكلوي Daphnis and Chloe. ولسنا نعهد عن مؤلفها إلا اسمه لونگوس Longus، كما أننا نظن مجرد افترض أنها ألقت في القرن الثالث بعد الميلاد. وتقول إذا دافني تعرض لتقلبات الجوالقاسية وقت مولده، وإن راعياً أنقذه وعنى بتربيته وإنه أصبح هوالآخر راعياً. وفي السيرة فقرات رائعة في وصف الريف توحي بأن لونجس كشف ما فيه من جمال بعد طول مقامه في المدينة، كما كشفه الشاعر ثيوكريتس الذي نسج هوعلى منواله. ويحب دفنيس فتاة حسناء أنقذت هي الأخرى بعد حتى عرضت للجوالقاسي في طفولتها. ويرعى الفتى والفتاة بترانهما وتتوثق بينهما عرى الصداقة والألفة، ويستحمّان معاً وهما عريانين في طهر وبراءة، ويقبل كلهما الآخر أول قبلة يسكران منها. ويشرح لهما جارسنج نشوة حبهما، ويصف لهما ما لاقاه في أيام شبابه من آلام العشق فيقول: "لم أكن أفكر في طعامي، ولم أكن أذوق طعم الراحة، وهجر الكرا عيني، وأمضني الحزن، وأسرعت ضربات قلبي، وأحست أطرافي ببرودة الموتى(28). ويعهدهما أبواهما، وكان وقتئذ من أغنياء الناس، ويهبانهما الكثير من المال، ولكنهما لا يعبآن بالثراء، ويعودان إلى حياة الرعي المتواضعة. والسيرة مكتوبة ببساطة الفن الجميل المصقول وقد ترجمها أميوAmyot إلى اللغة الفرنسية السلسلة المطواعة (1559) فكانت هذه الترجمة هي المثال الذي احتذاه سان پيير في پول وڤرجينيا كما أوحت بما لا يحصى من الرسوم والقصائد والبتر الموسيقية.

• موريس راڤل wrote the 1912 ballet Daphnis et Chloé for Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes, choreographed by Michel Fokine.
• John Neumeier choreographed the ballet Daphnis and Chloe for his باليه فرانكفورت company.

راديو

The work was adapted into a 45-minute radio play by Hattie Naylor, first broadcast at 14:15 on Friday ثلاثة March 2006. This broadcast was repeated as the Afternoon Play 14:15 on Wednesday 27 June 2007 and made available for streaming download forسبعة days on the BBC Radio Four Afternoon Play webpage.

It was played for comedy, with the sexual encounters preceded by 'I must speak in Latin!' and each dream-sleep preceded by a sudden comic thud. The cast were:
