مدلسكس (Middlesex؛ //, abbreviation: Middx) كانت مقاطعة تاريخية في جنوب شرق إنگلترة، ومعظمها الآن جزء من لندن الكبرى مع أجزاء في بركشير، هرتفوردشاير، وسري. وكانت قد تأسست في النظام الأنگلو-ساكسوني من أرض ساكسون الوسط. The county included land stretching north of the River Thames from ثلاثة ميلs (4.8 kم) east to 17 ميلs (27 kم) west of the City of London with the rivers Colne, Lea and a ridge of hills as the other boundaries. The largely low-lying county dominated by clay in its north and alluvium on gravel in its south was the second smallest by area in 1831.
