وسام فيلدز Fields Medal، هي الجائزة الأهم على مستوى العالم في حقل الرياضيات (تعادل جائزة نوبل)، تأسست بناء على طلب من عالم الرياضيات الكندي جون تشارلز فيلدز، وتمنح هذه الجائزة مرة جميع أربع سنوات بعد اجتماع لمجموعة من فهماء الرياضيات، وقد منحت الجائزة أربعة عشر مرة منذ البدء فيها في العام 1936 وقد نال الجائزة 42 شاباً من فهماء الرياضيات.
شروط الحصول على الجائزة
- تمنح الجائزة مرة جميع أربع سنوات
- يكون عدد الحاصلين عليها محصوراً بين اثنين وأربعة
- تمنح الجائزة لمن قدم إنجازاً في عالم الرياضيات
- لا تمنح الجائزة لمن تجاوز الأربعين من عمره، مهما كان حجم الإنجاز، وذلك لتشجيع الشباب على الإنجاز في عالم الرياضيات
