السجل القياسي للسرعة على الأرض land speed record، هوأقصى سرعة حققتها المركبات ذات العجلات على الأرض. ولا يوجد هيئة واحدة للتحقق والتنظيم; عمليا فإن الفئة ج ("المركبات الخاصة") والتي تستخدم أنظمة الطيران، رسميا من قبل المنظمات الاقليمية أوالدولية تحت رعاية الاتحاد الدولي للسيارات. The record is standardized as the speed over a course of fixed length, averaged over two runs (commonly called "passes"). Two runs are required in opposite directions within one hour, وحتى يتم احتساب الإنضمام الجديد، يجب تسجيل سرعة جديدة تفوق سابقتها، بنسبة واحد بالمئة. يوجد أعداد أخرى من سجلات الفئات للسيارات، والدراجات البخارية يتم وضعهم في فئة مستقلة.
