مبرهنة فيرما الأخيرة
مبرهنة فيرما الأخيرة Fermat's Last Theorem، تنص على ما يلي:
لا توجد أعداد سليمة طبيعية x,y z بحيث:
مع n أكبر من 2.
لقد كانت المبرهنة تنص على ما يلي:
من المحال حتىقد يكون مكعب مجموع مكعبين، ولا عدد مرفوع للقوة الرابعة مجموع عددين مرفوعين للقوة الرابعة. وعموماً لا يمكن لأي عدد مرفوع لقوة أعلى من القوة الثانية حتىقد يكون مجموع عددين لهما نفس القوة. ولا توجد أعداد سليمة طبيعية x,y وz بحيث مع n أكبر من 2.
والطريف في الأمر حتى صاحب المبرهنة ذكر في تعليق له على هامش الصفحة:
” لقد اكتشفت حقاً برهاناً رائعاً لهذه المبرهنة، لكن هذا الهامش ضيق جداً على حتى يحتويه “. ثم توفي بضمير مرتاح.
فيرما لم يخط برهانا على هذه المبرهنة، لكن أندرووايلز هوالذي تمكن من البرهنة عليها في سنة 1994، وذلك بعد مرور حوالي 300 سنة من الاعلان عن الفرضية.
