ظلفيات أحادية الأظافر هي حيوانات إصبعية لكنها تمشي إما على ثلاثة أصابع أواصبع وحيد وتحتوي على 17 نوعا حيا بعد انقراض الكثير من أنواع هذه الرتبة ومن بينهم البلوجثريوم أضخم حيوان سار على سطح الأرض على الإطلاق حيث كان يبلغ طوله أثناء الوقوفخمسة أمتار.
