قنصلية
القنصلية consul، هي تمثيل رسمي لحكومة إحدى الدول في أراضي دولة أخرى، وتعمل على مساعدة وحماية مواطني البلد صاحبة السفارة، وعلى تسهيل التجارة والصداقة بين شعبي البلدين. تختلف القنصلية عن السفارة، حيث تعتبر الأخيرة تمثيل من رأس الدولة إلى رأس الدولة الأخرى. قد توجد لكل بلد سفارة واحدة، ممثلة لرأس الدولة، والمهام المضلع بها فيما يخص العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين البلدين؛ إلا أنه يمكن حتىقد يكون هناك عدة قنصليات، واحدة في جميع مدينة رئيسية، لتوفير المساعدة في حل القضايا البيروقراطية لمواطنيها المسافرين-أو-المقيمين في الخارج أولموطني القنصلية المقيمين والراغبين في السفر أوالتجارة مع البلد الواقعة فيها القنصلية.
