جون "خوان" ريكاردوإ. كول John "Juan" Ricardo I. Cole (ولد في اكتوبر 1952 في ألبوكركه، نيومكسيكو) هوباحث ومؤرخ أمريكي في القضايا المعاصرة في تاريخ الشرق الأوسط وجنوب آسيا. وهوأستاذ كرسي ريتشارد ميتشل الجامعي للتاريخ في جامعة مشيگن. وكمعلق على شؤون الشرق الأوسط، يظهر في الصحافة والتلفزيون، كما يدلى بآرائه أمام مجلس الشيوخ الأمريكي. وقد نشر الكثير من الخط المراجـَعة من أقرانه عن الشرق الأوسط وهومترجم من جميع من العربية والفارسية. ومنذ سنة 2002، يحرر مدونته، (وكان اسمها سابقاً Informed Consent).
