الكشميري (كشميري: کٲشُر لُکھ / कॉशुर लुख)، هي جماعة عرقية ترجع أصولها إلى وادي كشمير، في ولاية جمووكشمير الهندية، والتي تستخدم اللغة الكشميرية، ولغة الدارديك الهندوآرية. يعيش غالبية الشعب الكشميري في وادي كشمير- والذي يعتبر كشمير العملية ولا يضم الأراضي الأخرى لولاية جمووكشمير الأميرية (أي جمو، گلگت-بلتستان، أزاد كشمير ولداخ). وتتضمن الجماعات العرقية الأخرى التي تعيش في ولاية جمووكشمير؛ الگجرات،Dogras,الپهاري، البلطيس واللداخ.
بينما يرجع الكشميرون بأصولهم لوادي كشمير، فهناك مجموعات سكانية صغيرة من الكشميرين تعيش أيضاً في بقية مقاطعات جمووكشمير. قد تتواجد العرقيات الكشميرية في مقاطعات دودا، رامبان، رياسي، كيشتوار التابعة لإقليم تشناب وفي وادي نيلام ووادي ليپا بشمال أزاد كشمير. منذ عام 1947، أصبح هناك الكثير من الكشميريين أيضاً في پاكستان.هاجر الكثير من أصحاب العرقية الكشميرية من وادي كشمير إلى إقليم الپنجاب أثناء حكم دوگرا، السيخ والأفغان لكشمير. معظم الكشميريين اليوم من المسملمين السنة لكن هناك تجمع هندوسي لا بأس به أيضاً. ينحدر معظم المسلمين الكشميريين من الپنديت والبوذيين الكشميرين، كما يستخدم بعضهم سابقة 'شيخ'. ومن الألقاب الشائعة لهؤلاء بات/بوت، دار، لون، مالك، وغيرها.
على الرغم من حتى جميع سكان أزاد كشمير يطلقون على أنفسهم 'كشميريين'، إلا حتى معظم سكان أزاد كشمير ليسوا من كشميريي العرقية.
