مقبس (كهرباء)

مقابس الطاقة المترددة AC power plugs and sockets، تصل المعدات الكهربائية بإمدادات الطاقة من التيار المتردد في المباني والمواقع الأخرى. تختلف المقابس الكهربائية عن بعضها البعض من حيث جهد وتقييم التيار، الشكل، الحجم، ونوع الموصل. يستخدم حول العالم عدد من أنظمة القياسية للمقابس.

منذ ثمانينيات القرن التاسع عشر أصبحت المقابس متاحة للتطبيقات المتنقلة، وحلت المقابس المثبتة في الحائط بدلاً من الوصلات في تطبيقات الإضاءة داخل المباني. بمرور الوقت توافرت الكثير من الأنواع المتطورة سواء من أجل الراحة أوالحماية من إصابات الكهرباء. يوجد حالياً ما يقارب 20 نوع رائج الاستخدام حول العالم، بالإضافة إلى الكثير من أنواع المقابس المهملة في المباني الأقدم. أعطى تنسيق المعايير التقنية استخدام بعض أنواع المقابس في مناطق كبرى من أجل تسهيل التجارة في الأجهزة الكهربائية، ولراحة المسافرين والمستهلكين للسلع الكهربائية المستوردة.

المفاهيم والمصطلح

Plugs and sockets may sometimes combine male and female contacts. A so-called 'universal socket', which meets no standard but is intended to accept a number of different plug types.
An earthed Thai socket that appears to comply with figure أربعة of TIS 166-2549. Although it may accept NEMA plugs, the Thai voltage is 220 V and thus electrically incompatible with US devices.
